John R. A. Wilson

Partner

A Kingstonian, John graduated from Queen’s Law School and joined his father in the practice of law in 1994.

John practices in all areas of real estate law including residential and commercial purchases, sales and financing, real estate development and commercial tenancies. He also advises clients in corporate and business matters including new incorporations, corporate restructuring and succession planning, the purchase or sale of a business and shareholder and partnership agreements.

John’s clients include developers, builders, condominium corporations, financing institutions, private and not for profit corporations, public organizations, sole proprietorships and religious organizations.

John also has extensive experience and expertise in Estate Administration, Estate Planning and drafting Wills and Powers of Attorney.

Andrea Brigneti

Partner

Andrea offers practical, sound advice to her clients in a timely and professional manner. Her practice as a solicitor is focused primarily in the areas of real estate, estate administration, will drafting, and corporate matters. She has advised clients in complex estate and business succession planning, the various aspects of real estate transactions, new corporate structures, and the purchase and sale of businesses.

While completing her law degree at Osgoode Hall Law School, Andrea worked as a summer and articling student with the Toronto office of Gowlings WLG, one of Canada’s largest law firms. Upon graduating, Andrea continued as an Associate with Gowlings’ Financial Services department where she acted on transactions representing Canada’s premier financial institutions. Andrea was later employed as Legal Counsel for Canada Post Corporation where her practice focused on the drafting and negotiation of complex business agreements.

Andrea joined the WILSON BRIGNETI team shortly after moving to Kingston in 2017. She is pleased to service her clients in both English and Spanish.

Taylor J. Deveau

ASSOCIATE

Taylor attended law school at the University of Ottawa, in Canada’s capital city, where she graduated cum laude at the top of her class. Prior to attaining her law degree, she attended Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree with Distinction.

During her time at a top law firm in the Durham Region, Taylor spent a number of years developing her practice, first as an intern, then while completing her Articles of Clerkship and eventually as an Associate lawyer, prior to starting her own practice in February, 2018, practicing in real estate and wills and estates.

Taylor was thrilled to move back to Kingston and to join WILSON BRIGNETI in April, 2019 where she continues to practice in real estate, wills and estates and corporate law. She provides her clients with thoughtful, sound and cost-effective strategies for their legal matters.

Jacob Wright

Jake graduated with Honours from Bond University on Australia’s sunny Gold Coast. Prior to attending law school, Jake completed a Bachelor of Commerce from Ryerson University with a specialization in Finance.

Jake completed his articling in Timmins, Ontario where he focused on family law issues in remote communities throughout Northern Ontario. Following his Call to the Bar, Jake worked as an associate lawyer at a local firm where he began as a family and civil litigator before turning his attention to a solicitor-based practice.

Although not a Kingstonian by birth, Jake moved from Kirkland Lake in 2006 to compete for the Kingston Voyageurs. During his time with the team, Jake studied at Queen’s University and also spent time at both Holy Cross and Bayridge Secondary Schools. Jake eventually moved back to Kingston to begin his law practice.

Jake practices in the areas of real estate, wills, estates and corporate law along with the rest of the team here at WILSON BRIGNETI.
